What We Believe

  1. Biblical Authority: We believe in the supreme authority and infallibility of the Bible as the inspired word of God.  We view Scripture as the ultimate guide for faith and practice.

  2. Salvation by Grace Through Faith: We hold to the doctrine of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone which involves the need for personal repentance, faith in Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation.

  3. Baptism by Immersion: We practice believer's baptism by immersion, viewing it as a symbolic representation of dying to sin and being raised to new life in Christ.

  4. Priesthood of All Believers: We believe in the priesthood of all believers, affirming that every Christian has direct access to God through Jesus Christ and can approach Him in prayer without the need for intercession by clergy.

  5. Autonomy of the Local Church: We believe in the autonomy of the local church, meaning each congregation is self-governing and has the freedom to make its own decisions regarding doctrine, polity, and ministry practices.

  6. Evangelism and Missions: We believe in evangelism and missions, accepting the responsibility of every Christian and every church to spread the gospel message locally and globally.

  7. Separation of Church and State: We respect civil authority, but recognize the need to be separated from the state or any outside governing authority that would intrude on the autonomy of the church, we affirm our religious liberty and the right of churches to worship freely and operate independently from government interference.

  8. Traditional Family Values: We uphold traditional family values based on biblical teachings, emphasizing the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman, the importance of parental authority, and the value of raising children in a godly manner.

  9. We hold to traditional Christian beliefs regarding God and Jesus, affirming the teachings found in the Bible.

God

  1. Monotheism: Baptists believe in the existence of one God, who is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe.

  2. Trinity: We affirm the doctrine of the Trinity, which teaches that God exists as three distinct persons—the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit—yet is one God in essence.

  3. Attributes of God: Baptists believe that God is eternal, omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), omnipresent (present everywhere), loving, just, and holy.

  4. Sovereignty: We believe in the sovereignty of God, emphasizing His absolute authority and control over all things.

Jesus Christ:

  1. Deity: We affirm the deity of Jesus Christ, believing that He is fully God.

  2. Incarnation: We believe in the Incarnation, the doctrine that Jesus, the Son of God, took on human flesh and became fully human while remaining fully divine.

  3. Virgin Birth: We belief in the virgin birth of Jesus, affirming that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

  4. Atonement: We believe in the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross, teaching that His death and resurrection provide forgiveness of sins and reconciliation between God and humanity.

  5. Second Coming: We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, believing that He will return visibly and triumphantly to judge the living and the dead and to establish His kingdom in its fullness.

Overall, we hold Jesus Christ as central to our faith, recognizing Him as the Savior and Lord, through whom salvation and eternal life are offered to all who believe in Him.

  1. We hold to traditional Christian beliefs regarding Satan, hell, sin, and humanity, as taught in the Bible. Here are the key beliefs:

Satan:

  1. Existence: We believe in the existence of Satan, also known as the devil, as a real and malevolent spiritual being.

  2. Rebellion: We affirm that Satan is a fallen being who rebelled against God and now opposes God's purposes and seeks to lead people away from Him.

  3. Spiritual Warfare: We acknowledge the reality of spiritual warfare, teaching that Christians are engaged in a spiritual battle against the forces of evil, including Satan and his powers.

  4. Defeat: We believe that Satan's ultimate defeat was accomplished through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and we anticipate his final judgment and eternal punishment.

Hell:

  1. Existence: We believe in the existence of hell as a place of eternal separation from God, reserved for those who reject God's offer of salvation through Jesus Christ.

  2. Eternal Punishment: We believe that hell is a place of conscious, eternal punishment for those who die in their sins without receiving forgiveness and reconciliation through faith in Jesus Christ.

  3. Justice: We understand that hell is a part of God's justice, where unrepentant sinners receive the consequences of their rejection of God's love and authority.

Sin:

  1. Human Depravity: We believe in human depravity, teaching that all people are born with a sinful nature inherited from Adam and are therefore inclined to sin from birth.

  2. Universality: We believe that sin affects every aspect of human existence and separates people from God, leading to spiritual death and condemnation.

  3. Need for Salvation: We emphasize the need for salvation from sin through faith in Jesus Christ, who offers forgiveness, redemption, and new life to all who repent and believe in Him.

Humanity:

  1. Creation: We believe that humanity was created by God in His image, with inherent dignity, value, and purpose.

  2. Fall: We acknowledge the Fall of humanity through Adam's sin, resulting in a broken relationship with God and the introduction of sin and death into the world.

  3. Redemption: We believe that through Jesus Christ, humanity can be redeemed, restored, and reconciled to God, receiving the gift of salvation and the hope of eternal life.

Overall, we view Satan, hell, sin, and humanity through the lens of Scripture, emphasizing the need for repentance, faith in Christ, and the transformative power of God's grace in the lives of individuals
